Vicky Rich reported:

AHA and USEF signed a "Memorandum of Understanding" task-force agreement.
Registrations are slightly up from last year at this time (8% Purebreds and 5% Half-Anglo Arabians)
All breed registrations were down in 2007 (18% Quarter horses, 11% Paints, 7 1/2% Arabians)
Resolution allowing 2 shows concurrent in one arena passed AHA Convention, but will not be sanctioned  by  USEF
Next AHA BOD meeting will discuss show revenue stream and the WAHO bill to AHA ($10,600/year)

This is my last year as Director. My invitation to let me know what you want the Region to do for you still stands. I had but one response last year so I guess you all are happy? I think Myron Krause’s last President’s letter best described the issues confronting the national board at the moment, and the steps we are taking. I became a board member at the same time as Myron became President. I have to say he has done a terrific job and worked very hard as has the board.
