The AHA Cowboy Academy will be held on the majestic grounds of the V6 Ranch in Parkfield, California. The V6 Ranch is nestled in the Cholame Valley, on 20,000 acres in the middle of the picturesque Diablo Mountain Range, half-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. This ride on the renowned Varian family ranch offers riders a true western working ranch experience, at the rider's pace, within the beauty of Central California mountains. Music and stories will highlight the event, for a full and fun experience. Guests will have trail time as well as the opportunity to work cattle, all while camping outside with their horses and friends. This adds up to an experience reminiscent of a time long ago, but never to be forgotten. For information about the ranch and town of Parkfield visit: www.parkfield.com

Weather
April is generally mild. California has some very warm afternoons (possibly in the high 70's), accompanied by some cool nights (down to the chilly 30's). However, weather conditions can be unpredictable, so be sure to prepare for all types of conditions. We suggest you bring a warm jacket, gloves and a fleece pullover so you are prepared for any sudden weather change. You may want to bring a light blanket for your horse as well. |
