2022 Region 2 Championship Endurance Ride:

The Region 2 Championship Endurance Ride was held October 29, 2022 during the Bill Thornburgh Endurance Ride near Inyokern CA.

Our Region 2 Championship endurance ride was a success.  We had 6 purebred and 1 part bred entries, which is one more than last year.  There was one 'pull' on the purebreds and all the others completed.  I found out that we are the only Region in California that has a Championship endurance ride.

From left to right in the group picture are:

  • Kerrie Tuley riding WP Aurdacious (Best Condition Award)
  • Marci Cunningham - AHA Steward
  • Nina Bomar riding Om El Jadon
  • Allan Horn riding Shez MostlyZipped (first half Arabian)
  • Suzanne Ford Huff riding SD Proof of Energezy (first purebred)
  • Cathy Bartusek riding OT Dymonite RSI
  • Valerie Jaques riding BS Malabar Dark Demon

2021 Championship Endurance Ride:

The Thornburgh endurance ride on October 30th is also the AHA Region 2 Championship 50 mile ride. You must be an AHA member with a competition card to cross enter and your horse must be registered with the Arabian Horse Association. For your $25 entry fee you will receive a cross entry award and if you finish, a completion award also.

Best Condition for Arabian and Half Arabian will each receive a gift card for a 10 pound bucket of Platinum Performance Equine supplement generously donated by Platinum Performance. Champion and Top 5 in each division will also receive awards. The cross entry form is included in the on-line entry info on the AERC website. Come on out and have a great ride!

“Thanks to Region 2 for the bucketful of awards. We love to celebrate our proud ownership of the purebred Arabian horse. We all have many! Thanks to Region 2 and AHA for recognizing our beloved breed. They always generously honor those who enter and Marci does such an amazing job organizing it all and keeping it going. Together we walked away with many prizes and a beautiful ribbon too.” ~ Nina
